We’re doing something new - here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions

  • When are you going live?

We’re working hard behind the scenes to be ready for Beta testing in September, and fully live by the start of October. Keep your eyes peeled for news on our launch event in October!

  • Can anyone commentate?

Yes! The idea is that anyone who wants to commentate can. We are working on functionality to allow you to commentate with your friends and colleagues.

  • Which sports are you covering?

WiderTalk is a multi-sport platform. If you have an event you are interested in being hosted on WiderTalk, please get in touch.

  • Can Commentators earn money?

In short, yes. We are still working through the exact model, but we intend to reward the most successful commentators as you would see on other platforms such as Youtube or Twitch.

  • How are you going to get the streaming rights?

We aim to start small, proving out our unique model with events that are looking to expand their viewership. These could be events that are free to air, or are affordable for a young startup.

As WiderTalk’s revenue grows we aim to acquire more well known rights for users to enjoy.

  • Do I need to pay a subscription?

Our first events will be free, as we develop our platform and iron out the kinks.

Going forwards we are looking at the best model to allow affordable access for fans, but sufficient revenue to gain access to larger events to stream.

We will keep you updated via our blog.
